Roulette is a game of chance that has become very popular over the past few years. And as is the case with any game that has received international attention there are a ton of different strategies on the internet for the game. Every professional player has their favorite roulette tactics to help them level the playing field and beat the house. Some of these strategies work well and some of them don’t work so well. So today we are going to be talking about some of the most popular roulette tactics that are used by players around the world.

One of the most popular roulette tactics is “betting on red.
Roulette Tactics

” Using this strategy, the player places his bet on a red space for a certain number of spins, lets say thirty-eight for this example. Since there are eighteen red spaces on the wheel out of thirty-eight, probability suggests that the there is a forty-seven percent chance of landing on it. Using the concept of binomial distribution, there is an eighty-three percent chance of landing on red or so it seems. The break-even point is nineteen spins and the payout on the bet is one to one. So actually the probability of winning is only thirty-seven percent. These results happen because the ball will land on red less then half of the time. So using the betting on red strategy is not the best roulette tactic out there.

The Martingale System is another popular roulette tactic. Using this system players, players keep doubling their bets so that their winnings cover their past losses and provide a small profit. Let me give you and example. Let’s say that a gambler places a five dollar bet and loses. His next bet he would place ten dollars. Let’s say that he loses again, he would then place a twenty dollar bet. Now let’s say that he wins the next spin. He has won enough to cover his past losses and turned a modest profit of five dollars. The system sounds awesome, right? It is not without its flaws. Its first flaw is that the player has to keep a substantial bankroll that he can use until he wins a game. But even if he is able to do that, then there is another problem. He will most likely run into the maximum bet of the table. As you can see these can be some serious flaw.

Another roulette tactic that is often referred to by the professionals is the “multiple bet system.” This system is a combination of the martingale system and the red bet. A dash of another system is thrown in as well, the odd bet. Let me explain to you how this strategy works. You start off with a bet on one on each of the red and odd numbers. You consider each of these bets to be separate. When one of the bets loses, you then go and double it. When a bet wins, it is returned back to one. This roulette tactic does manage to keep you in the game longer. And that’s because there is a twenty-five percent chance of winning both the red and the odd bet and there is also a fifty percent chance that you will break even. These system does have a flaw, however. You have to start off with a large bankroll in order to stay in the game.

This concludes our list of the most common roulette tactics. Due to space restraints I haven’t added in all the strategies that can be used to even the odds. In fact, there are probably several good systems that I left out. Roulette is a game of chance, but with the right system a player can level the playing field and win more of the time.
