Beat Roulette

There are some people who believe that they can beat roulette by using some form of mathematical system. But, what these people fail to realize is that these formulas are far from being the sure fire way of winning that they are often advertised as. These systems often boil down to nothing more than luck, and as any gamble can tell you, luck is not a way to beat roulette.

The reason these formulas don’t work is because roulette is a game of chance. There is simply no way around this fact. Every spin is completely independent from the previous spin or the spin following it. This is a fact that many of the systems ignore.

Knowing how many times a number has come up does not help with a current spin. So it is absolutely irrelevant. If your really serious about finding a way to beat roulette then you are going to have to try something a little different.

But, using a few commonsense guidelines, you can come up with your own system that is going to help you beat roulette. I have one that involves four simple strategies that can give you the best possible odds, if they are used together. These four principles drastically reduces the house advantage and gives you a real shot at winning. You have to keep in mind, however that while these rules will improve your odds, they don’t guarantee you of winning every time. After all, roulette is a game of chance.

Rule number one: Use European tables. This is an important rule to keep in mind during your quest to beat roulette. And that’s because with European roulette the odds are already in your favor. European tables have a two and a half percent house advantage, while American tables have a five and a quarter percent house advantage. Just considering those facts, which one would you prefer?

Rule number two: Avoid bets that have high payouts. Bets that should be avoided include bets on single numbers. They have a payout of thirty-seven to one, so do you really think that your odds are that good to win? Just by looking at it logically, you know that the answer is no.

Now on to our final rule for how to beat roulette. Rule number three: know what bets you need to make. Just as there are bets that you should avoid, there are bets that are good to make. This includes betting on “even bets”. These wagers have payouts that are very close to their odds. These bets include bets placed on low numbers (that would be one through eighteen), high numbers (numbers 19 through thirty-six), even, odd, red or black. As you can see, this gives you a variety of ways to bet. This is important because even though you want to beat roulette, you still want it to remain fun. After all, it is a game and should retain its entertainment value.

Our fourth rule: Look for European tables that have single zero wheels. These tables often employ a rule called “En Prison”. This rule basically discounts the first spin of the roulette wheel during a bet and allows players to let the bet ride to the next spin. This greatly improves the odds in your favor. This makes it one of the best bets that a person can make and cuts the house advantage in half.

While roulette is a game of chance and there is always a chance of losing, by employing these four basic strategies you can greatly put the odds in your favor. These four stategies can be your best weapon in your quest to beat roulette.
